1920s - 1930s; Gaskell & Chambers Ltd. - Birmingham, England

Substantial five-bottle Optic Pearl spirits dispenser designed for countertop use in a commercial pub or hotel bar. The chrome-plated stand has a broad flared base, tall central column, circular arrangement of five removable Optic Pearl measuring taps, and an upper carousel of curved bottle-support brackets. Each tap incorporates a glass measuring chamber calibrated to dispense 1 1/4 oz. The reverse of each glass chamber is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND" and "IM/######" (six-digit serial number). Four taps retain the Gaskell & Chambers name on their stems, one has a black gasket, and two have handles that turn. All five taps can be removed from the stand.

The stand exhibits scratches, scuffs, pitting, tarnish, and extensive deterioration to the chrome plating. Chrome is lifting and missing across several areas of the base, exposing oxidized metal beneath. Four glass measuring chambers have small chips, edge flakes, or scratches. Not all of the upper bottle brackets sit horizontally, suggesting bending or displacement. Only two tap handles currently turn, and the central stand does not rotate. The felt covering on the underside is stained from rust and has missing or cut areas with oxidation visible beneath. General wear, residue, discoloration, and oxidation are present throughout. Functional dispensing operation has not been tested.
